Optimal Farming Conditions

 

Optimum Main Parameters:

 

  • Water temperature: 28-29 Celsius

  • Water pH:  7,5-8,5

  • Water salinity: 0-40ppt

  • TAN: <1ppm

  • Dissolved oxygen: > 4ppm

  • Known tested stocking rates <80kg/m3 (<15kg for fingerlings)

  • Marketing weight: 450-600g (plate) 2000-3000g (fillet)

 

 

  • Due to Barramundi carnivorous nature regular size grading is needed until fingerlings reach about 100g per fish.

  • Changing water salinity from time to time makes your fish to be less prone to parasites and viruses which can't handle the salinity change.
